nail revitalization

  • Laser removal of onychomycosis is a revolutionary, patient-friendly method of treating mycosis (thrush). The laser emits heat light, which evenly illuminates the nail and the surrounding tissues, effectively weakening and killing the fungi that attacked it.

The procedure using a laser is a safe and effective way to get rid of onychomycosis or skin. The laser treatment of mycosis involves irradiating the nail plate with a head that is quickly moved every few millimeters across the plate. Deep thermal heating with laser pulses on the plate and under the plate kills the parasite fungus, leading to its destruction.

Indications:

  • Gradual change in the color of the plate to a milky yellow, yellow-brown or green-brown
  • The surface of the nail becomes thick and dull
  • The plate peels off the substrate, the nail crumbles and breaks
  • At the beginning of infection, inflammation develops around the nail
  • Pain ailments appear
  • The nail plate becomes thick, dull with visible furrows
  • A disturbing symptom is also yellow or brown streaks on the nail plate

Contraindications:

  • herpes
  • cold
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • cuts in the treatment area
  • active viral, bacterial and fungal diseases
  • taking antibiotics, steroids, photosensitizing agents.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PHOTON LASER TREATMENT

Usually treatments last approx. 10–15 min. Treatment typically consists of 3–4 treatment sessions repeated every several days. The head does not touch the infected areas directly, but is moved 1–2 cm above the plate. All nails should be illuminated during each treatment. The laser light penetrates the nail plate, effectively eliminating fungi under the plate and in the skin tissue. The laser makes the patient feel a delicate, pleasant warmth in the irradiated area.

After treatment:

After the treatment, the most important thing is to take care of nail hygiene. Disinfect all items that have been in direct contact with the infected area. The risk of relapse will be minimized if the patient uses an antifungal spray after the procedure. All clothing and footwear that has been in contact with the diseased tissue should be thoroughly disinfected.
