Lymphatic drainage
Pressure massage is one of the most effective methods of treating limb edema
Lymphatic drainage, otherwise known as pressure massage, is one of the most effective methods of treating limb edema. In aesthetic medicine, lymphatic drainage is an invaluable element supporting slimming and cellulite reduction treatments. It is a pleasant massage technique that improves the body’s metabolism, stimulates the lymphatic system to cleanse the body of toxins and supports the transfer of fat released during other treatments (e.g. cryolipolysis, radiofrequency) to the lymphatic system.
Lymphatic drainage is an ideal massage used in the treatment of the so-called “heavy legs” syndrome, indispensable for women who walk in high heels, ladies working in a standing position. It improves blood circulation (prevents varicose veins) and eliminates swelling.
During the procedure, you can read a book or use a telephone 🙂
The main areas of application of lymphatic drainage:
- Cellulite
- Heavy legs syndrome
- Prevention of the formation of varicose veins
- Improving the nourishment of the skin
- Care after liposuction
- Convalescence
- Tenalgia
- Regeneration
- Detoxification
- Obesity
- Osteoarthritis
- Gout
- Chronic edema
The BTL-Lymphastim device works on the principle of intermittent pneumatic compression (pressotherapy), that is, it uses a shifting pressure wave that enables compression lymphatic drainage. Massage of a given area is done by compressing through air-filled sleeves. Filling the individual chambers of the special sleeves at pre-programmed intervals creates a slowly moving pressure. Delicate, rhythmic pressure waves are created. There is a feeling of relief in the area covered by the massage.
